Atomic Model confusion and such

Do you remember learning the structure of an atom? I remember learning up to Bohr's planetary model in high school but we didn't talk about the electron cloud model until college which totally confused the heck out of me.

Well, I am attempting to teach my kids the electron cloud model in high school. I think that it may go over their heads a bit but shouldn't I TRY to teach them the truth instead of stopping short of the truth?

PS- I didn't know that the neutron was discovered AFTER the electron cloud model. Did you? It was only the 1930s. That seems really recent. And that discovery was what helped us make the atomic bomb. Thanks?
